You're not gonna do it yourself.. unless you have hidden skills you haven't mentioned yet. Check the vert section of this forum for all kinds of info on Stang soft tops

yeah, i changed the top on my 94 by myself (with help from my stepdad). it was much harder than we were expecting. It took us like 3 days of working about 5-6 hours each day to get it on properly. All of the shops around here quoted around 7-800 for the top and install, and i found a whole top kit for like $350 online and didnt think it would be worth the extra 400 for the install, but i was wrong. i def wouldnt do another unless i was on a super tight budget.

It's a little involved. If you're looking for a new top we sell them. Here's a link to that section for your application.

Hey,

I visited local Mustang junkyard and managed to find and buy a used convertible top with frame for $150. The top is in very nice shape and fit my 93 Mustang very well.

Maybe that could be another option for you also.

not many screws, nuts, and bolts. its mostly staples... LOTS AND LOTS of staples. but if you have plenty of patience and a good set of instructions then you should be able to get it done. I just have very little patience, and we just had a vague set of instructions for replacing a typical convertible top, not for a specific car. my lack of patience much outweighs the cost of having someone else put one on if i ever need it again. but good luck. let us know how it turns out.
