Default Replaced rotors and brakes are leaving grooves?

I put new rotors and brake pads on my 2003 GT and for some reason the outside of the driverside rear rotor is is leaving grooves. Its scoring the outside of the rotor the width of the caliper. I put a new rotor on and switched to ceramic brake pads and it did the same thing. I was told the axle was bent. Is this a possibility. Thanks for your help. I just put the car up for sale and just want to get this fixed before someone comes to look at the car. Thanks again.

Did the pads need to be bedded in, and were they? How does the car brake?

Well I only drove around the block braking lightly about 2 seconds at a time. The rest of the brakes and rotors look great and it stops great. I only used the brakes real lightly. I could hear the brakes dragging shortly after I took off both times. The wheel spins freely in the air but when you are driving you can here the brakes rubbing like they are stuck on. Just on that one wheel and its only making marks on the outside of the rotor. The brake pads are flush with the rotor . I have never had one do this before.

That sure looks like metal to metal contact. Is the pad correctly installed? Believe it or not, I HAVE seen where someone installed a pad with the metal side against the rotor, instead of the friction material.

Ya its correctly installed. Its my second set of pads and rotor. I think im just going to buy a new caliper and have my new rotor turned and see what happens.

Figured it out. The axle was walking 3/16 out and the rotor was rubbing on the inside of the caliper bracket. I pulled the diff cover. pushed the axle in and turned the carier to look at the spider gears and the c clip fell off. The spider gears were chewed up.
