yeah u do and i respect that.. its just no1 understands that i have an 87 stang.. its 18 years old.. its not a 2000+ stang.. its an old 5.0.. i bought b/c i love stangs.. and i was willing to put money into it and make it nasty... yeah i believe it needs new vacuum hoses b/c when i start the car for the first time.. it will immediatly die down and stall... then i do it again.. and at idle its kinda rough/choppy and the kid whose helping me work on it and his father say its the vacuum hoses.. so i was just asking.. r they a big project to do.. and how much would they be for my car.. i just dont like it when people refer to my car as a crap box or sum1 elses headache.. once its all done, its gonna be ridiculous.... so yeah.. vacuum hoses.. can any1 walk me thru what i gotta do??

The car should idle at 800rpms maybe a little lower if there is a vacuum leak it will idle up over 1,000 rpms.Do you mean the tach not the odometer?
