I swear by synthetic....Mobil 1, Royal Purple, Redline, Amsoil....all good products. If you run a search in these forums, you will find alot of information on synthetic oils. Here are some links for background info:

Ive always run Mobile 1. Best stuff Ive ever used. I might switch out to Royal Purple after I rebuild the tranny and rear.

I would use a high quality regular oil unless you have some modifications that would cause a little more stress on the motor. When your have the modifications, i would switch to synthetic

a guy at an auto parts shop told me mobil1 was bad. something about it being too heavy or something. i don't know. he even recommended motorcraft 5w20, which is what i use anyway.

depends on your mileage on the stang i think.

if you get up close to 100k i would burn high mileage oil

rightnow i use Valvoline 10W40

but i am still under 80k on my mileage too

Switch to a synthetic but if you have a V6 theres no need for Royal Purple, Amsoil or Redline. I would use a normal brand synthetic like Mobil1, Motorcraft, etc... use a light weight like 5W-30 since its summer and you'll be fine. I'm running 5W-30 Cheveron synthetic right now and its cool.
