Angry intake manifold problem

I have a 289 v8 in my mustang and it has a adapter in the intake manifold that has me putting in the wrong temperature sensor in my engine. So I need some ideas how to remove this piece from my intake. The adapter is threaded inside and out. So I can't tell if my car is overheating or not which is driving me crazy.

Also is ot easier to replace the whole intake manifold rather than fix the one in my car?
