My buddy recently purchased a 1970 302 mustang. He's recently installed a new set of aluminum cylinder heads. The car is up and running, but we are having difficulty comparing timing marks on the harmonic balancer to the tab on the driver's side of the engine. It seems the field of view is blocked by the mechanical fuel pump.
Does this mead the engine has the wrong timing cover? Any suggestions would be helpful.
