Hey guys, I'd like to learn more about mustang modifications
Hello everyone, I'm new to this forums and I wanted to know if there was a place where I could learn (in overall) about mustang modifications and mecanics. As I'm only 20, I really don't know much about them.
Is there a web site or a book or a reference of some sort that you guys would suggest for a beginner like me ?
Thanks a lot guys,
I really appreciate it.
Nick

this forums and others like it are your best source for knowledge. you might not understand what we are talking about at first, but keep reading and you will learn.
thats what i did and i'm only 17 yet i do all the work on my stang. and thats how you really learn. start by doing little stuff like oil changes and move up to the bigger stuff.
if you have any kind of mechanical abilty its really quite simple.

Make sure your very picky when you purchase your stang there are alot of beat cars out there...And when getting info on here be very careful who you listen to because some people are trying to help but really have no idear what their talking about.Best way to learn is hands on training and reading. There is alot of great stuff to read on here,do a couple searches on what you want to learn about and I'm sure you'll find alot of valuable info.Good luck on finding your stang and hold on to your pocket cause the money is going to start flying out of it

Will do, thanks for the advice. I obviously won't buy the first car i see and buying my stang is a long term project for me. I know the insurances are gonna probably kill me since I'm only 20. However, I plan on buying my stang in about 1-2 years. Insurance wise, is there a big difference between a v6 and a gt ? And what about having a vert instead of a coupe? I will obviously check it up with my own insurance but I'd like some feedback if you guys have some. Thanks.
