Default Arched wires and now my car wont start

I broke my Nitrous purge button so while i was replacing it the wires touched and smoke came out from the hood and now my car wont start. It doesn't turn over and the fuel pump wont kick on when I turn the key. Any suggestions?

All electrical still works except the fuel pump and the engine doesn't turn over. Battery is located in the trunk.

I'm on my blackberry so I can't see any pics or have any idea what year car you have. Stupid question, but before working on the electrical did you disconnect the battery? If not sounds like you fried a fuseable link on the wire you arched

I did not disconnect the battery. I know I am an idiot, i was just going to swap the wires real quick. Could it be my MSD ignition box?

Might be battery too but because you said its in the trunk and had smoke under the hood you definitely fried some wire under the hood to get smoke! Trace the wire you arched it probably has a fuseable link like I said earlier the fuseable link is there specifically for cases like these so not to burn the wire entirely!

the battery to autozone or some place like that you have near you. they test and charge the battery for free. if thats no help, check for fuses and burnt wires under the hood

Thanks for all the help! It was a fuseable link in the wheel well. What a pain to get to .
