Odd question...

I was just curious as to why we do not have, from what I call anyway, "new air" and "re-circulate air" buttons on our dash for the A/C? Any specific reason for this?

Max a/c is your "recirc air". A/C is your "new air".

Right now I am driving a Neon (rental car while the mustang is being repaired), and they have a air select inlet so you do not have to turn on A/C on to have air coming in. Anyway to do that on our cars?

Just the one next to the regular A/C it lets air in. There isn't one that lets it recirc though, beside the Max A/C.

The one main reason why I ask this is cause this car gets very hot when the windows are closed. (Trying to find a alt to A/C - don't want to waste gas)

you could just switch is to the vent, the arrow pointing toward the face. this will fan air in with no a/c
