The square ones aren't for the mustang, the cone is. Are you going to order this online or buy it at a store?
well actually the "square" panel filters are used on mustangs. maybe not those years but in my 92 project a panel filter needs to be used if your using the stock air box.

I have my own opinion on air filters.

While tuning my megajolt ignition I was able to advance timing more while load on the engine is smaller. Lesser load on the engine is achieve by having lighter vehicle, less drag on the crank, and less restrictive air system. Getting rid of the filter allowed me advancing timing a little more.

Advancing timing a little more is the same thing you are doing while getting in a higher octane fuel and tuning for it.

Ahh!!! See, every tuner has a different opinion, mine is backed up by real life data.

As far as air filter goes, the one that NewMexStang showed. I have one, used, in good condition. Will sell. PM.

He has a 99 GT, so his IS a cone and not a "square" one. We weren't talking about 92's.

When did 92's come in to the picture at all? All comments were directed to his 99GT, bro. When I said "mustang" that's what I meant. Sorry I didn't specify enough for you...didn't realize you were so sensative. Anyways, why are you coming around criticizing when we're just here to help him out?[sm=sigh.gif]
