Default problem with 01 bullitt heater hose T fitting.........

Common bullitt problem.. the plastic T fitting going from the heater core hose to the manifold cracked today and blew my coolent out in seconds...luckily i was less than a 1/4 mile from my house and got it home with no problems...

now my question is, i cannot find anywhere that has the T fitting i need ( good old ford discontinued the part)

it is a 5/8 diameter on each end with a 1/4 inside diameter on top of the T ( or bottom, how ever you look at it)

i really dont want to be stranded with no way to work for much longer..

now my other question is, can i just bypass the little vaccum line until i do get a T fitting so i can drive the car? or is it 100% neccessary?

any help would be much appreciated!!!

i have tried the local parts store and they have nothing, i will continue the hunt tomorrow

a vacum hose on a coolant line? does the t fitting have some kinda valve in it ? maybe to stop the coolant flow or increase it, me i would bypass it for now and keep an eye on temp gauge and coolant flow

I believe you can find information on this on IMBOC.com forums. There is a T fitting that people buy at places like OReilly. I'm sure you can do a search on IMBOC and find the part number and brand.

You can also look at places like rockauto.com, and mustangsunlimited.com. Good luck.
