heya folks got a quick question gonna be takin a 92 lx body ripping the computer and all that fun stuff out and putting a carbed' 302 from an 83 gt what kinda wiring harness and gauges will i need to make it all work out well in the end love the bady just hat the computerized 2.3 and is gonna be way to expensive do the sawp with a fuelie v8

a carbed 302 from an 83 gt is a step backwards, since a good block and heads come from 91 and on. Grab one of these. this one

I suggest you do 4.6L or fuel injected 302 or 351 or even 289. As far as computer goes, I can't figure out why people don't want to mess with an aftermarket computer, they are so cheap and easy to use, and performance gains are so great. If your using a carb what would you need a computer for??The 83 motor isnt worth putting in so I would try to find a newer one like 4600cc said

i was asking cause i already have the 83 gt motor, suspension and what not. the body is just trash more bondo than sheetmetal, the 92 i have is in great shape just with a fourbanger in it, and the 83 motor has less than 10k on it would seem a waste to just trash it, the only thing im worried about is the guage cluster swap

well then i would say do it, i mean if you already have everything don't waste the money on buy a new motor and eveything
