Default Clutch is history, looking into a Spec

Can anyone give me an explanation as to why certain clutches are not recommended for the street?

Will the pedal, with a Stage 5 for example, take too much leg work to operate?

I am shopping for an '08GT500, by the way.

too much leg, rough engagements, etc...

main thing is you don't want your clutch to be the strongest part of your drivetrain, you want it to be the weakest part. if you drop your clutch on slicks, you would much rather break your clutch than your rear end or your transmission wouldnt you?

I'd forget about getting a Spec clutch.
My old Spec Stage 2 clutch failed in 5K miles because the Spec
clutch disc failed.I did the proper break in and was pretty easy on
my clutch.Everything was also installed correctly.
The customer service at Spec is absolutely horrible and they will
leave you screwed just like they did me if you try to warranty their
clutches.Spec will say it is always your fault and be stern and rude
about it.My Spec Stage 2 clutch was the worst clutch I ever had.
I highly recommend getting a Centerforce clutch for your Mustang.
I replaced my failed Spec Stage 2 clutch with a Centerforce Dual Friction
and I couldn't be happier.I love my Centerforce clutch!
