Default aod-a4od

will a good built aod be better or will the
other over drive be best..the a4od i think it is...i thinking the aod is not electronic..the other is..any info will help..thanks

I worked at a transmission shop back in high school, and the owner was a Mustang driver. He was a firm believer in a good bullet-proof AOD with a Transgo shift kit.

Your right, the AOD is purely hydraulic. No electronic junk.

I don't know how old your car is, but if it's not set up for it, the electronic transmission will not work. It won't shift.

Just be sure you don't install an A4LD. The 'LD' stands for light duty and they suck. I can't remeber if they even bolt up to a V8, but Ford used them on 4 cylinders and V6's.

i have a t5 now..but it will tear up soon i think..and maybe going to a tk0-600..not sure yet..i do know that i have to get a much better tranny to hold this solid roller 347..lol
