Question Need Help with Body Work

Does anyone know of a good web site or book explaining body work and paint prep? Where's the best place to start? I am working on a 70 Fastback that has been painted grey over the original gold color. It is already starting to flake up on the mirrors and door edges. Do I take it to the medal or just smooth it out and primer over it?

Honestly, the best bet would be to enroll in a community college auto program. Most CC's require you take an general intro to automotive class then they will let you pick and choose. It's fun and you learn a lot. And, most have classes through out the day so you can pick and choose what class time best fits your schedule. I say this because BW is very easy to screw up and a book can only teach you so much. With body work you need hands-on experience to really understand what youre doing.

What he said^^^^^^.
It's definitely a" hands on" thing, no other way to learn it.

I will add that either you have it or you don't.
It's kind of an art and some people will never get it right, no matter how hard they try.
They'll just be fudge packer rather than metal workers...
