transmission seal leaks

transmission seal leaks

HI, I have a 71 429 mach 1. The rear seal in the tranmission is leaking and the fluid gets on everything. Is there an easier and cheaper way to fix it other then taking the transmission off the car, fixing it, and reinstalling to the car?

Pull the driveshaft
Remove the output seal
Drive in the new seal
Reinstall the driveshaft
