2000 Mustang Base &.5 rear end Friction Modifier?
Hey guys I've got a 2000 Mustang and I'm going to replace the rear differential cover gasket i know that i will need some 80w-90 i will probably use the Valvoline brand but regardless i need to know do i need to add friction modifier in to the mix? some places i go say yes and some say no i would really appreciate an answer so i can get my car back on the road its the last thing i have to do thanks any help is appreciated.

When I swapped out my 7.5 rear for the 8.8 I added Royal Purple which has friction modifier in it. Some people still said I needed to add the modifier but I haven't had any problems yet
