Default long tube headers and short tube headers

Im looking to add long tube but in the comments have read some more then confusing comments about long tubes and short tubes. Can anyone help me out with the differences and what i need to know about each? Im adding them to a 2010 v6. I need to add this http://www.americanmuscle.com/ford-v...aust-2010.html before i go about anything else.

Long tubes will add some HP, but not much, around 15-20 I believe. Also they will require you to modify your stock exhaust(if equipped or not already modded) because of the length difference. The shorties are more just for sound. Although some do claim to have seen small HP gains from them. They also will fit your stock exhaust with out any extra mods.
