Hey everybody, i have a big question for anybody and everybody to give their opinion on and help me out.. i have a 2006 V6 with Auto trans which i think is slipping, its a pos. anyway, i am pretty set on dropping a 5-0 power plant in it in the very soon future. i have only been able to find decent priced engines on ebay taken from fox body mustangs, and so on.. a new 5.0 would be cool to have, but dropping like 6 grand on one is..steep. when the time comes, i may try to find a wrecked 2010+ GT with a 5.0 and try to rip it out of there.. but anyway, my question is, what year specific 5.0 should i try to scoop up, what type of headers should i get for it, etc.. just basically asking if you were me, what would you do? im totally going to overhaul this car. i find out after a year of having it since 2008, that it had been in a wreck because the lesbo that owned it didnt know how to drive, and it was a pretty bad wreck from what i understood. the car's fan constantly runs as if its trying to overheat, the alignment is always messed up, the doors make different sounds when they shut, this car needs major work done to it, and a new paint job as well. the guy that painted the car was lazy and didnt do it right, ive dumped a good amount of money into this car to keep it maintained right. main reason why i dont have alot done to it at the moment. so, i would like to drop a 5.0 in it, with engine mod work done to it, suspension, rims, etc.. sorry, im rambling on, wasting precious forum space.. if you were me, what would YOU do? thank you for any/all information given!
