Default 1995 Mustang Front License Plate Bracket

So I am constantly being pulled over by the same officer waiting for me because I am not displaying a front plate. I honestly would put it on if the front bumper had the mounting hardware on it. But I have had this car for almost 16 years and never had an issue before with this and don't want to mess up my front bumper now.

Are there any options for displaying a front plate that do not involve damaging my front bumper?

The ones I seem to be finding requiring drilling but on the underside of the bumper instead of the front or are for 99's and later.

Such as:

Can anyone point me to any no-drill solutions?

if you want a no drill solution, i would try and get some really strong magnets. you could bolt a magnet to the actual plate and then put another on the other side of the bumper. not sure of where to get a magnet like that though. you could also put some felt on the magnet to keep from scratching the paint

Why not try 3M double sided tape? No mess, no fuss. Or you will have to get one of those drop down plate that mounted underneathe the front bummper.

Put it on your passengerside dashboard where it can be visible through the windshield

i have a cobra bumper on my 01 GT. There's literally nothing to drill into. I ended up zip-tieing my plate to my bumper. And it works surprisingly well

I'm with Matthew. Try an adhesive tape. Something like they use to hold badges and trim on the car. If it's strong enough to hold a fender badge on then it should be strong enough for a license plate. Good Luck!

Fender badges are plastic and therefor a lot lighter then a metal license plate. I would be worried of hitting a bump and having the plate fall off and do damage under the car as it bounces around while driving over it. Not to mention the road hazard it creates for other drivers, especially motorcyclists.

The magnet approach would need some seriously strong magnets. I'd make sure the magnet inside the bumper would need to be mounted to something so it doesn't slide down over time, hitting bumps and road vibrations etc.

I'd either use the zip tie method, or put it on the dash on the passenger side. Good luck...
