Default 351w Cam Selection

Hi all,

Long time reader, first time poster here. I've got an '89 Bronco 351w motor I want to mildly build up. I've added some GT40 1.7 roller-rocker heads, headers a 750 Holley and this cam/lifter kit...

LUN-11001LK

Hydraulic flat tappet
Basic Operating RPM Range 1,500-5,500
Duration at 050 inch Lift 214 int./224 exh.
Advertised Duration 280 int./290 exh.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.472 int./0.496 exh.
Lobe Separation (degrees) 112

Here's what I'm doing with this engine... it's going in a fairly heavy car (several 100lbs heavier than a fox body) for use in short/mid-length course endurance road racing. I'm looking for more tq in the lower rpms and will unlikely be pushing it near max rpm for any extended periods. And, I'm constrained by some tight budget restrictions. Side note, I've got a very good oiling setup for this engine.

First question, are these cam specs generally okay or wacky for this engine? Second, given what I'm doing with this engine, what specs should I be looking to achieve? Third, what's your cam of choice for this application?

Danke!
