347 STROKER QUESTIONS?
I am wanting to build the 347, was told my a friend of mine i would have to convert the cam over to a roller cam, do i really have to do that. i will not be racing, just cruising around, want the speed, but not going to. not planning on using the stock heads, proably going to get some good aluminum heads. just dont care to convert it over to roller cam. any suggestions would be nice. thanks the car is a 66 mustang, i pulled a bad 6 cycl. out of it.

No, you dont need to do a roller cam conversion to do a 347. But keep in mind, since you are going to be in there why not do it? Its fairly easy and you dont have to worry about cam break in procedures, etc. And the technology with rollers especially for the street is a lot better then standard lifters.
