The trucks probably caught the attention of the cops and by the time the made it thru the crowd to the area the mustang was caught in the act.
First one attracts attention, second one gets caught.

Stupid is as stupid does. Burn out is one thing. Burn out in a crowd full of people in an uncontrolled area is just plain asnine. All of them that burned out are idiots. I can image any one of those vehicles losing control and ending up in the crowd... then what?

bothered because wat about the other people that did that exact thing.., no fair
Looking for fair.....you need to relocate to a different planet. Fair has nothing to do with it.
That's the problem with a few seconds of a vid from a narrow camera angle. It's quite possible that many others did receive some police attention at the scene, on the street once they left, even via warrant a day or two later.

THere is was a huge difference between the two trucks simply breaking the tires loose and the mustang doing a full blown extended burn out.

Ha. This happens all the time at the local Central Car Cruise. Happens so much to the point that the local PHX PD is actually told to stay away from the area and only two or three on foot cops are made to walk up and down central to make sure the burn outs are kept to a safe procedure. Last time the cops converged on said cruise, a riot pretty much broke out and lots of accidents happened with people trying to run away.
But either way, this guy should've just gotten a ticket, not arrested. It's a car show, in a parking lot. Matter of fact, they couldn't have arrested him unless the owner of the lot said they wanted him arrested. Idk how it works there but in AZ, the owner of the lot whether it be Walmart, Safeway, or Circle K or whatever has to say they want him or anyone doing burnouts arrested.

Where do you get your information? Varies from jurisdiction and department policy of course, but often if injuries are involved or there is imminent danger to public, law enforcement can take action. Also often there is preagreed consent from private property owners with police to patrol and protect life and property. If this was an organized event with a car club, the club may also have had a signed agreement with said property owners. Car club may have to assume liability for its members' actions and any negative outcomes resulting from those actions.

MCSO aka Sheriff's department. But you are correct. If it was an organized meet then the cops were there because they were paid to be meaning he could get arrested. I wasn't thinking last night.
Though, they didn't do it in the best of ways since with two of them, a riot would've been very very ugly.

I don't believe that he should have been arrested either, maybe ticketed, not allowed to attend and escorted off the property. I personally think all of them should have been ticketed for burning out close to people. All it takes is the wrong slip of a foot and a loss of control is possible.
However, I am a fan of burnouts and I was pretty excited to see the 'Stang out burn them all.
