Mach 1's are great cars, My parents have a orange 04. Only problem we have had is with the ABS, but this car has been to the track quite a bit, hundred of passes on it, still runs great, got over 100k on it now. surely wont be as fast as your truck unless its modded, but they are great cars. Im on lightning rodder too, I go by 01stallion over there

Keep the Lightning Man !!!! I had a 2000 White Lightning, and sold it in 2006 with only 25k miles on it. I miss that truck everyday, wish I never let it go. It was very fun driving it and having people on the road think they could beat me "cause I was driving a truck" .Yeah until I hit the pedal and they were left in the smoke wondering what just happened. Nice Lightnings are hard to find, most guys used them for towing the trailers to the tracks. So if your is Nice every year the price will only go up. ENJOY IT!!

Mach 1 is actually faster than a lightning. I would go with the Mach 1 if it was me, CAI, Tune, Exhaust, UDP, you gotta strong runner.

I watched a 2003 lightning stock race manual Mach 1 with exhaust and tune. The Mach 1 walked him HARD everytime, and from the hole? He beat the lightning by about 7-8 car lengths. The lightning doesn't have the same power to weight ratio as the Mach 1.

I have watched tons of stock lightnings do the 1/4 in mid 14's... so yeah if you want to street race or circuit race I'd go with the 4V Mach 1 all day. I see them burning up the 1/4 with runs like 13.4 with tunes, gears, and bolt ons.
