Default tricks of the trade alum cleaning

I was seeing if anyone had a good way to clean the oxidation off of alum i.e. the engine block and heads. Ive been looking at spray cleaners but doesnt seem to be anything out there that is just for alum. Any information will be helpful.

Thanks,
Matt

There isn't anything as far as a spray on that I know of. I got some metal polish recently for a cobra intake that I am polishing and hit my chrome valve covers with it and it cleaned them right up.

You could try Meguiars Hot Rims® Aluminum Wheel Cleaner. I only use Meguires products and have always been more than happy.

spray on something to remove oxidation is not going to happen without some buffing. If you find something.... let me know ASAP.
