Exclamation Bogs out and dies when clutch is let out

I have a 1988 5.0L mustang LX, and for some odd reason the car will bog out and shutter violently when driving then as soon as i put the clutch back in the shuttering and bogging stops, then i let the clutch out again and it will bog out and die. Any ideas as to what this might be?

It could have a warped clutch disc. My 67 did that for awhile and it was only in 1st gear. So I started taking off in 2nd gear and after a couple days I could use 1st and it wouldnt buck and bog down. Using 2nd gear helped wear the disc level faster. Might try that and see if it helps any.

Would that explain it shutting itself off too?

Possibly a bad clutch cable not providing enough resistance? I had a similar problem when I replaced the stock quadrant and the stock cable with an adjustable one. Made a big difference in every day driveability.
