Default Minor Damage Estimate

Was wondering how much you guys think this will cost to repair? I just bought this 05 Mustang Convertible from a local owner and he assured me the flaws on the bumpers wouldn't be expensive to fix. Linking images.

v6 or v8?

just upgrade to sgt/gtcs/gt500 rear and a front of your liking. shouldnt cost much more than having those repaired.

Yeah he lied about that. You will have to have them sanded down and have those scratches filled. Then you will need more sanding, primer, and finally paint.

My guess would be about $500-600.

Hmm... he seemed eager to sell it. KBB listed it at about 9400. I paid 7500 in cash. I owned an 04 GT before a flood smashed it, so I was pretty excited to get my hands on another Mustang.

I'm not surprised that he talked the damage down.

@PNYXPRESS- Can you give me a little more info on upgrading to what you listed? I'm not very auto savvy as of now (I'm a computer science major).

Thanks again for all the replies, you guys have been amazingly helpful so far.

it just involves replacing your stock v6 bumpers with more aggresive looking ones. You can go with a stock gt rear which can be found very cheap or the sgt/gtcs/gt500 which might be harder to find used. with either one you will need dual exhaust to look right though. as far as the front cover the sky is the limit almost, cheapest would be a gt front, then sgt/gtcs, then aftermarket, then gt500 front conversion. Ebay and craigslist is the best place to look for these things

Great looking car! I Figure you got a good enough deal that the other guy paid for the repaint. Get a well-priced bodykit/bumper cover(s) and he'll also pay for your first set of Mods!

whatever he did, it dislodged the front turn signal from the bumper.
poke around<or get someone who knows what to look for> to see if theres anything hidden
