Convertible Roof Maintenance

Conv Top
Everyone wi;ll have their own way of cleaning the top, Here's mine. I have an 07 GT/CS with the cloth top.
First, when I park/store it, the top goes up. This keeps it tight and wrinkle/crease free.
When I wash the Stang, I wash from the windows down. Unless its dirty I only rinse the top, with only water, every 4-5 washes, and BLOT the excess water off with a towel.
When I clean the rear window, I use Invisible Glass Cleaner, which is amonia free. I spray it onto a micro-fiber cloth and clean the outside, gently. Inside I'm even more careful as you have the heating elements. Be real gental around the clips that the elements attach too.
4-5 times a year I take some silicon spray, spray it on a cloth and give the rubber weather stripping a good coating.
Twice a year I use a product called Ragg Topp Cleaner/Protectant. Its a two part system, a cleaner which I use with a dedicated (for the top only) soft bristle brush. When it dries the second part is the protectant, which is parrafin based, is misted on. Just follow the directions.
Of course, If your Stang is going to be parked outside, than your going to have to do this a lot more often.
Sounds like a pain, but its not hard to keep it looking good. The top on my 07 looks as good as the day I picked it up.
