Default Cooling system pressure test with motor out of the car?

I pulled the motor on my wifey’s ’98 V6 to fix numerous issues including, but not limited to, multiple leaking freeze plugs. I’m getting ready to put the motor back in the car but I want to make sure that the new freeze plugs are sealing properly. I think they will, but I had a bad dream last night that I got the motor back in, got everything setup, started the car and POP!!! One of the freeze plugs pops out gushing coolant everywhere. So I was thinking of pressure testing the block with the motor still out of the car. That way I can fix any leaks that may occur a lot easier. I’m not really sure how I would do it though. I figure I could set my air compressor to match the PSI on the radiator cap. But then how do I pressurize the system? Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

im pretty sure youd have to hook up the radiator to the engine and use one of the pressure testers that go on instead of the radiator cap and run the engine dyno style if you wanted to do the test with the engine out
