Default do you think this is a good trade?

got a 98 v6 mustang in really great shape and 178k milage.

Found a guy willing to trade, he has a 1989 RS camaro with 305 v8 engine. from what i have seen that is a pretty slow car.

I know this is a mustang forum, and mustang runs deep in my blood, but I kinda wanted to check out a camaro, do you guys think this would be a good trade for me? from what he said, the seats need replacing (the driver seat was stuck on lean back, so he switched it with passengers seat) and its manual and the cruise doesn't work.

However everything in my car works flawlessly, got no scratches and really great shape :/

but have been wanting a camaro for a while, and the the ones i have been checking out are in hella bad shape. what do you guys think?

Camaro Vs. Mustang argument aside, I cant possibly see how trading for a car that's almost ten years older is of any benefit..Especially when the potential car already hs some issues (its a GM, lol, see what I did here?)) with things not working.

I you want a Camaro, then look at market value of both in your area.
Personally, I wouldn't do it. Taking on an old car can quickly turn into a project if you don't know the car well.

Neither are of any use as a performance car in their current state. Both need new new powertrains. Save $$ and buy something useful if you want to go fast.

Really guys?

Stop being so jealous over Camaro's. They're both nice cars. IMO, I'd trade.

First of all, the 98 models for the V6 were pure garbage. As a matter of fact, the ones from the 'New Edge' were trash too, but these were worse with head gasket problems

the camaro305 has just as much potential in it as the old mustang 302. problem is its just like your v6 and will take morre money to get there as it sucked in stock form.
