Default help!89 notchback

im new here and im looking into getting a notchback, im going to look at a 89 notchback 5.0 with 39,000 original miles, matching numbers!! from the pictures and what i was told its in perfect condition, it was a florida car and has no rust, im sure it has some rust like any other car but its suppose to be perfect he wants 8500. im not sure if thats a great price or horrible price and it has a cool air intake and a flowmaster exhaust. i wanna build this car, and ive found supercharged/built notchbacks for $9-13000. but id like to make one my project and im also scared to by a built car because who knows how much its been beat on. so is 8500 a good or bad price and if its a bad price what should i offer? thanks for the help everyone!!

It's impossible to say without at least seeing pictures.

BTW, there's no such thing as "matching numbers" on a Fox. The VIN is not marked on the the drivetrain.

I'm a little nervous if the seller presented it that way.

To me that price sounds just a bit high for an original car.
I'd also be worried about the 'matching numbers' part.
Could be they are just saying it's the original engine/trans......

Post pictures! If it's in really nice shape $8500 isn't a horrible price, especially with the low miles. But keep in mind, a Mustang is a Mustang, and virtually all of them have been at least a little beat on in their lives. Try to find one as close to stock as possible.
