Unhappy Jumper on Back of Instrument Cluster

There was a jumper wire on the back of the instrument cluster of my 68 Stang convertible.
It reads: FOMOCO C8ZB 3E645A H 5X FOMOCO. It's a yellow wire with a black stripe. It has one male and one female end. What is it for? BEFORE YOU ASK......I took it off a couple years ago and NO I don't remember what it was connected to. YES I know that was stupid but it is what it is. Can anyone tell me what it might have been used for? Thanks! BTW, my gauges appear to be working fine except for the bouncy speedometer needle. I don't have a tachometer or clock or A/C.

OK. If you can't tell me what it's for, can you direct me to a GOOD parts number resource? Thanks.
