Default First Mustang and first manual ever

Hey guys! A few months ago I bought a 95 Ford Mustang GT with the manual T5 transmission from a junk yard that had a pretty awful noise coming from the bell housing when the clutch petal isn't being pressed. I thought it was a throughout bearing so I bought a brand new clutch but to my surprise I took the inspection cover off and found the sleeve over the input shaft is broken up by the transmission case. I was told that I may need to have the transmission rebuilt or get a used one. So need any advice or help here on transmission parts or for a used one. This is a pic of the sleeve while still on the car. I tried loosening the drive shaft nuts but cant seem to get them loose and tips?

Keep working at the driveshaft nuts. Get some pb blaster and let it do its work. Also go ahead and remove the exhaust to prep for pulling the transmission. Youre gonna have to pull it either to get a new one or rebuild it so go ahead and get started.

I got some of that PB Blaster wanna see how well this stuff works. Just one question wonder if I break the stud off? Can I replace by any chance?

I have sprayed those draft shaft bolts down like crazy and still cant get them loose. Do they put thread locker on these bolt by any chance? Is there another way of loosening these without stripping them?

Input shaft bearing retainer has a sleeve that the throw out glides on ..... had them break before years ago on either Muncie or Chrysler 4 speeds ..... they usually bolt on to the front of transmission .... so pull trans, get gasket, new retainer or used, replace, and while there ..... new TO bearing anyway.

That is correct , input shaft bearing retainer.
While you have it out be sure to check the input shaft bearing they usually don't break unless the input shaft bearing is bad and the input shaft is flopping around some.

The input shaft should just come out and the bearing can be pulled off and another pressed on.
Then the new retainer and seal .

I bought a new clutch that came with some bearings. Just getting the transmission out is being difficult with me.

Its easier if you just by the Ford driveshaft tool. its a 12 point 12mm swivel socket. Much easier and with less chance of stripping the heads of the bolts.

Well I have one bolt holding the transmission in but cant seem to get break it loose. I have used 4 extensions and a breaker bar even with a 12inch pipe to help break it loose but no luck. Any suggestions? Could I use an impacter carefully?
