Poor Dyno Results on Roush 427R
Hi there
I recently purchased 2010 Roush 427R.
It's a 4.6 v8 3v motor with roush m90 supercharger.
6lb boost. Has 28xxx miles.
Roush claims it's 435HP. And to my knowledge after reading people comments on different forums. It does in stock around 375 to 385. Depending on conditions.
Now I was planning to get things done to it as any other guy would want to upgrade lol. I got all the parts and did a pre run on dyno to get numbers for before and after.
It turned out to me that my car is only pushing 314horse with 279 torque. That's less then what my previous 08GT was giving with just aftermarket headers.
What are your suggestions on it. Is it something wrong with the tune? The problem with dyno or it's operator ?
Ohh btw the results are from dynojet. And when he was doing the dyno I was really low on fuel. Could that be a reason ?
Would appreciate your thoughts on it.

The operator of the dyno can tweak settings to make your number go up or down. The 1st dyno run on my Wife's 2006 V6 showed it put down 368rwhp with only an exhaust upgrade. We all were like "I think not". He corrected his settings then it put down 206rwhp.
Seeing where the power is made looking at the graph means more than the actual numbers. How does your car run? Can you post your dyno chart?
Here's my Wife's stock 2010 Mustang GT auto dyno. Only put down 250rwhp but it ran 13.4 in the 1/4.

No I don't have the chart with me. I'm gonna be seeing him again in morning. As it was closing time for his shop. So we did a run in hurry.
Car runs perfect. With no sign of missing or plug messed up. It's smooth. It goes on 6 lb boost. I can hear my blower clearly. I'm running on 93 octane. The dyno guy is either playing around or their dyno is not calibrated. That's what I think.

Was your low fuel light on? Maybe for supercharged cars the tune changes to help you get to a gas station...though I kind of doubt that actually.
Did you only do the one run before they closed? Maybe they needed to calibrate the dyno.
