Default New Hood installation problem

I apologize if this is posted somewhere else, I looked and couldn't find it so I thought I would ask;

I recently purchased a new hood for my 1969 Fastback, the hood was "Original Ford Tooling" so I assumed that it would bolt on perfectly however after installation I find that the back end by the windshield sticks up about 1/8th of an inch all around. I can push it down manually but it still sticks up a tiny bit. I have a few friends who have had the same problem with new hoods, is there a fix for this (like low tension hood springs) or am I stuck just pushing down the hood after every time I open it?
