Default drive shaft problem

I went on a test drive today after installing a one piece alum drive shaft in my 06 gt, and its making a very low humming noise. My car has Eibach lowering spring on it, so Im not sure if my car being lowered is messing with the angle of the drive shaft or what is going on.

Any help would be would be appreciated.

Matt

Get an adjustable upper control arm

Then get the pinion angle set back to specs

Hopefully that should do it unless driving it has damaged the driveline CV/U-joints in some way. An aluminum driveline is not a cheap investment, make sure it is done right.

Good luck

Id recommend the BMR upper control arm and mount. IF you havnt done a adj. upper arm yet. Then do lowers and relocation kit also. Get you Pinion angle -2 to -3 for auto or -3 to -5 for manual.

Ok I tried setting my pinion angle to -4 deg after installing my new upper control arm. I used jack stands to level the car as best I could with loading the suspension. BBBBBBuuuuut the driveshaft is sounds like it making a vibration noise.... any tips

What is the brand of the driveshaft and was it one that required installing a new pinion adapter? Supposedly those types need to make sure the pinion is properly shimmed which is more in depth than I would be willing to do. If everything looks right and is tight to spec, next thing is contact your vendor and talk to their tech support, you might have to send it back to them.....

Good luck

I bought a coast ds from stage 3 performance. It has an adpater for the pinion gear you can see it in the picture on the website

I'd give either Stage 3 or Coast a call. Both should be reputable and maybe try to troubleshoot with you. My guess is they will have you send the driveline back to get checked out. Otherwise you might have to get it checked out at a good local shop.

No expert here, but that's what I'd do since you have the pinion angle right.
