Default Can I re-tune if I don't know the prior tune?

Call me an idiot or whatever, but I purchased a 2010 Mustang GT 4.6 for dirt cheap from a dealership in FL. It was IMO set up for the 1/4 mile just by noticing the way it responded, the low idle and the straight pipes... Here's my dilemma, it's taken on an every day driver role so the responsiveness is nowhere near what it used to be. The previous owner would just re-flash the tune and all is good. I have NO idea who that is or what the tune is, so am I stuck with it the way it is or can I somehow take it back to its original factory tune and start fresh?

You can get cars flashed back to stock.
However if there are any mods on the car that required a tune that wouldn't be a good idea.

Do you have a tuner?
You could order a new tune for it just so you know what is on it.

I agree flashing it back to stock would be a bad idea. I am thinking that there is a high probability of a Ghost Cam tune. Loping idle, very rich smelling exhaust. Plus the Cats have been removed, and it has a manual transmission... both of which are necessary pre-requisites from what I read. So, even if it's not a tune and someone actually replaced the cam, I'm guessing flashing back to the stock tune is out of the question.

Do I have a tuner? Nope. Here's another dumb question from me. Would purchasing one allow me to see the current tune details?

Do you know what mods came on the car? If you don't I'd post some photos of the underside and engine bay and see if people can help you identify anything.
And I may be wrong, as I've never researched it, but I was under the impression that the ghost cam tune was a 2011 and newer thing.

Purchasing a tuner would allow you to data log, which would let tuners see what's wrong with your tune/car.
Someone else may know what all you can see and what would hint at a tune. I've never messed with mine so I'm no help there.

I'd say it's also very possible that the previous owner had it tuned then returned it to stock before selling it so that they could re-use their tuner.

There's one for sale on here now for a good price.
Now then you'd need to buy tunes (and know what mods you have to order the tune) but you can get a single tune from LMR for $75. Or do tunes for life with various companies that usually charge around $150.
