I just purchased a 1971 mustang mach 1 it has been sitting for 26 years...what should I all do with fluids, such as oil an gas before I try an turn it over. Thanks

can you manually turn the engine, would check the gas tank too and make sure there is nothing in there....

Replace all fluids. Prime the oil system. Flush the fuel system. Rebuild the carb. Replace the filters. Turn the engine by hand with a bit of oil in each cylinder. Verify the brakes work. Have fire extinguisher handy when attempting to start. I would block the wheels in both directions too.

Thank you very much for you afvice and I will do all those things is there a place I can find out how to do a couple of those things I am unsure on how to do them. I want to do all the work to this car I dojt want to take it to somebody to work on. Thanks again
