A/C Issue 05 v6 Mustang
So the other day I was driving and I noticed that the AC wasn't blowing out of my top/face vents, however it was blowing out of the defrosters and floors just fine.
I took it to the shop to get an estimate and apparently it was a 5 hour job with a $30 part- the mechanic told me "the panel door was defective" so the guy at O'Reillys told m that he meant the blend door motor.
So anyways I went out and bought the blend door motor and unless I didnt get it in the tracks, the issue hasn't been fixed. BTW Definitely not a 5 hour job...
SO as of now the face or top AC will work at times and other times just the defrosters and floor. The top/face AC will not work at the same time as the floor or defrosters though.
Also now that ive taken out m glovebox i can almost hear a clogging noise when i try to use floor and top vents.
Update: after replacing blend door motor I can see the motor raise up and down when the AC comes on, not sure if that means its off its track or it actually does that (cant imagine it would)
Any help with this would be appreciated as I live in Louisiana and its getting HOT

UPDATE- Realized I put the wrong motor in a perfectly working motors spot. Whoops.
Anyways, found out the motor I have to replace is a little too far up there for me to reach with any kind of ratchet and whatnot. Any help on ho to remove the whole dash over there?

You shouldn't have to remove the dash to change that motor. You may be able to remove some of the hvac duct or whatever to get better access to the motor. The manual only says to use a shallow universal socket to get to the screws after disconnecting the wiring connector. 1/4" drive ratchet with various length extensions may be helpful.
