I have a problem with my brake lights staying o in my 2001 v6.It also made the shifter inpossible to shift.I watched videos showing that there is a button that is depressed and it shuts off the light.I cant find that on my car.I found the fuse was bad replaced it and it shifts fine now but brake lights still stay on every now and then.Can this be a bad brake switch or am I missing where the contact is with the shut off button

I'm not familiar with the newer mustangs, but look on your brake pedal arm, about half way up should be an adjustable brake light switch, make sure that it's adjusted and working properly. You never know what else that switch has control over.
