Is that 650 Edelbrock new or used?
I ask because it souns like the accelerator pump piston has a defective seal. They will dry out and crack .... or just crack .... on older carbs that set. They have a new ethanol resistant one.

The Edl carb is brand new.
but, i will check. Yeah...im seeing that there are many things that can effect performance of the car. Im becomming a mechanic.
