Burning Oil....
#11
Well there's no black smoke and when I replaced the plugs a few weeks ago they were not black. The ones I pulled out and replaced were wet and seemed to be fouled out from oil. So I guess I'm just going to have to pull the motor and pull the pistons and check the Rings myself.

I haven't updated on a while cause I've been too busy to mess with it. Just parked it and left it alone for now. But I was able to get down to work on it long enough to check compression. I know u want all the cylinders within 10psi of each other or close to that but what should my compression be? The block was bored. 040 over and the heads are 9.5 to 1. .. on 3 cylinders I had 75psi and the other 5 were 70psi. I think that is confirming that the rings are nothe seated or too small or maybe .030 pistons and rings were ordered. Something to do with the rings due to the low compression and fact that it burns as much oil as it does.

if your pistons were .030" and your bore was .040" i wouldnt think that it would seal enough to get 75psi, but 75 seems low. sounds like you had better tear down and inspect/measure to get to the bottom of it

I'm definitely not getting any black smoke. It's all oil blowby. Smokes like a fright train. And goes through a quarter and a half in 2 days when I drove it back and forth to work. Sounds like i definitely need to tear it down.
