Question window failure

2006 V6 auto...My driver side window will not roll up or down automatically or go to the re-seal up position when the door is closed. 14k miles and never been on a wet road.

Try doing the reset procedure. You roll it down and hold the button for 5 seconds then roll it up and hold the button for 5 seconds (as I recall, it should be in your owners manual).

I don't think he can do that since he said the window will not go up or down... if it's just the driver's side, it'll be the motor or switch, get to the switch and use a meter to see if there is juice there and if it passes through.

I read his post to say it doesn't do the auto up or auto down, and the drop when the door is open. I don't think tomm51 is saying the windows don't work at all - but can you verify for us tomm51 just what the problem is?

Thanks for your replies and attention. I did the reset procedure and it worked perfectly! After I posted the problem, I checked again and it would roll down in automatic but not up, and it would not go up in auto to re-seal. This probably malfunctioned because my battery went stone dead on me while sitting in the garage waiting for us to come home from vacation...another problem I'm trouble shooting for a remedy... I didn't think to check the owners manual because whenever I have a problem with any of my three Ford's, 06 Mustang, 10 Escape, 98 Ranger, fellow owners such as yourselves always come through in these forums. Jim C and ucinn are my latest heroes. Thanks again...Tomm.
