Default alternator issues...again!

about 4 months ago, my alternator crapped out again. lifetime warranty got me a new one. after install I have a p151a light on. my ipc was screwed up from day one but the speedo was always good no matter what other gauges were messed up. now my whole ipc is messed up. what causes the p151a code? did the death of the alternator screw up something?

Sorry I can't help, but if you start a thread in the Tech section specific to your year Mustang, you may get more responses. Good luck.

Side note: Was this code thrown after the new alternator ? Or from the bad one and it was never cleared from computer memory ?

sorry. 05 gt. code was set after second install. was fine before the car went nuts and now code was set. doesn't affect drivability, just hate the check engine light. found out from good mechanic my ipc is bad but that has no effect on it.
