Default Rubbing sound after pulling up E brake?

I was driving my 96 GT home last night and I pulled the E brake up pulling into my driveway. Now it's got a nasty rubbing sound I noticed on my way to work this morning. It also feels like something's rubbing. I checked around the tire and everything's good. What could it be? I'm waiting on day light to check everything. ALSO! It's worse when I turn. In either direction. It does it faintly and rarely when going in a straight like. Mostly when I take off though. Any help would be appreciated

Do you use the parking brake often ? If not used for a while, they sometimes corrode up and won't release fully. Does it feel like they're dragging ? Is the car easy to roll on level ground ?

It does feel like they're dragging but not all the time if that makes any sense. It's got a weird vibrating sound and that's what it feels like too.

Also no. I never use the parking brake. But I was just trying to slide it last night in the rain.

lol, oh I see.

I'd take a back tire off and see if the parking brake is stuck or not releasing all the way. I know on my car, I wouldn't even consider using the parking brake, as I know they won't release. PO never used them, and the cable and sheath have become one .

I actually figured out what was up. Drove it to work today against my better judgement and put it on the lift and somehow or another I actually broke a rubber exhaust hanger and when I turn to the left the entire exhaust system shifts and hits my backing plate and tire. Crazy I know, and I don't know how it happened. The cars clean as a pen but this exhaust system looks like it came off a beater someone dropped in the ocean. Just another thing on the list of why I hate whoever owned and worked on this car before me.
