Default checking transmission fluid

I have a 2012 Mustang with an automatic transmission. It has no tranny dipstick so how do you check the fluid level?

Actually there is a dipstick. It is a small one on the transmission so not easy to use without a lift. Nothing in the engine bay like older cars.

Ya, Ford use to be number one for information, especially for the owner, but now the user's manual is pretty much useless, and why would they put the tranny dipstick under the car....pretty dumb. Guess they want the owners to take the cars to the dealers for all their service.

Default Fluid level

With the car warmed up lift the car up level on stands or whatever you have. Run the car to warm up the trans. Remove the large hex shaped plug/bolt looking deal on the right front corner above the pan. The dip stuck is inside there. The car has to be warm and level and running. It's great fun.

Ok, thanks for the instructions 34mav, will have to figure out how to get it up in the air AND LEVEL. I have ramps, but that won't get it up and level. May have to take it to a garage.
