Question Stranded 14awg wire best source ?

I need a good source for short lengths of 14 gauge stranded wire in various colors. Do any of the big auto parts stores even bother with this. I'm not interested in 50'-100' spools. There is always the internet I suppose.

Don't waste your time with the auto parts stores on electrical. Home Depot or Lowes in their electrical section. You can buy it in a spool or by-the-foot. If you're in a pinch, Ace hardware. Ace is expensive.

You can do online too but sometimes you get really brittle wire which is not good for automotive.

That's awesome. That is what I want; by the ft. And I certainly am not interested in brittle wire. That's all I need. Thank you for your input !

I checked my local Lowes. It might be because the small market area but they had only the "basic" colors an electrician might be interested in; on 20' spools. I will keep looking. I thought maybe even a auto salvage yard but do I really know what I'm getting then?

Any local electrical warehouse that usually sells to people in the business will be able to hook you up. Any color you want.
