Default 4.10 gears

whats the difference between 4.10's and 3.73's? what will get you faster acceleration and what will get you a faster top speed?

top speed is gonna be the same with eitherone

however, if you are looking at a 99-04 like i thnk you are

YOU DEFINATELY WANT the 4.10s

better accelerationg throughout the range, and as long as you dont do 100% of your driving on the interstate, you should be fine

na, i wouldn't do 4.10's...

i would go for the 3.73's. better gas milages and your still getting a huge fraction of torque. i heared with 4.10's you would spin them way too easily

see, i like to drag race, and to me....thats the point.

i would do it, i had 3.73's in my '90 GT and hated them...not enuff. it was aod though.

4.10's in my '89 5-speed notch, and would never do anything else. i'm putting 4.10's in my '93 b4 spring.

THIS GUY OBVIOUSLY HAS NEVER HAD 3.73's or 4.10's or else he wouldnt say that

nothing against him, but odds are that he is just going by word of mouth, from someone who also has most likely NOT had either gear

sure, if you dump the clutch at 4K, youre gonna spin like hell, but 4.10's are a blast to drive

very minimal drop in gas mileage, unbelievable acceleration increase, and tons of fun

4.10's or +

you dont need a low gear to go fast... if its a street car it can sometimes be too much and more of a hassle. Id say if u want a good all around gear go with the 3.73s or if u want a tad more, 3.90s...
