Damned thing wont start, possibly ign. solinoid or starter?
OK so I drove my car one day to denny's, everything was cool. Came out, popped the key in the ignition, it cranked but then I heard something jam. Like something locked up suddenly, no grinding noise at all from the starter, and all you hear is a click in the ignition solenoid. Any ideas, anyone? I gotta get to work!!!! Oh well.. looks like the bike for me today.....

my car did the same thing i changed the solenoid (after crossing it over a few times ) changed the starter wire and it just ended up being the battery cable. well the ground cable. i dont know if that helps any just share my experience with it.

1. Check battery voltage
2. If it's good, check all cables going to starter relay and starter
3. If cables are good, bypass the starter relay and see if it cranks
4. If it doesn't crank, the problem is the starter

Either not enough juice in the battery....Or you need a new starter (more likely)

OK, update....
The starter I had on there was completely SHOT. Turns out there were three pices of starter lodged in the flywheel in the bell housing.... But I didn't know that till I had changed out that starter, put in a new one, and getting stuck in Safeway thinking everything was cool. So now the pony's running hard again... who wants to race?

well i bump started the car and ran it for atleast 15 minutes, the battery had enough juice to power everything in the car along with the bendix, after the car ran for 15 minutes i tried once again and it still didnt work . so i am guessing its the starter since the battery would have been decently more charged after running the car. Ill try jumping it tommorow to give it some more juice and well see how that goes

That sounds like your starter is spinning but the bendix isn't being thrown out
