counting the revs on wheel and drive shaft ain't real accurate just buy a gasket get off your lazy but and count the teeth on the ring & pinion then divide ring by pinion i personally like a 3.73 it performs good and you can stay under 4 grand at highway speeds just depends on what you want stay with the 7.5 till it breaks

I replaced my 89 convert 2.73s to 3.55s and it is nice. My 90 GT was switched from 3.08s to 3.73s and it was sweeter!

Is it true that 05-07 A/T GT'S only have a 331 axle ratio.

I have a 2001 mustang gt 5 speed with bassani o/r xpipe, mac CAI, High flow injectors, mac underdrive pulleys, and i think 3.73...I want to get better acceleration like 4.10 but do some highway driving and was wondering would 4.10 work or should i go with 3.90. I dont want to be at 4 to 5 thousand RPM's constantlywhile driving around. Let me know guys cause i want to get them soon.

I understand completely about ur gear havoc. I have 4.10 gears in my 88 mustang gt but thats 4 drag purposes. It depends on if ur car is manual or automatic. If ur car is automatic u can usually go as high as 355 and still have the sunday drive affect u r lookin 4, but if u have a standard shift u can go lower becuz u have the extra gears. I am thinkin about switchin from 410's to 373's bcuz I want 2 b able 2 come off hard and still roll to the big end. It all depends on what u want and what kind of transmisson u have.
